Fenerly

Terms of Use

Last updated 29 May 2026 · Plain-English. These terms cover the Fenerly hosted service. The free WordPress plugin is separate (see below).

The plugin vs. the service

The Fenerly WordPress plugin is free and GPL-licensed. You can use it on its own — it runs health checks on your site and shows how many are passing — without agreeing to anything here. Its licence is the GPL v2 (or later), not these terms.

These Terms of Use cover the Fenerly hosted service (the dashboard at fenerly.com) — the optional paid product you connect your sites to for a weighted health score, history, and multi-site management. They apply only once you create an account or connect a site.

What the service does

When you connect a site, Fenerly periodically reads the health-check facts your plugin reports, combines them with our own external scan, computes a weighted 0–100 score per pillar, and shows the result — with history and guidance on what to fix — in your dashboard. What we collect and how we store it is described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

Accounts

You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. We use passwordless sign-in (magic links); keep access to your email address protected. You can ask us to delete your account at any time (see Privacy).

The score is guidance, not a guarantee

Fenerly's checks and scores are honest signals to help you improve a site — they are not a security audit, a guarantee that a site is safe or compliant, or professional advice. You remain responsible for your sites. The service is provided “as is”, without warranties, to the extent the law allows.

Availability + changes

We aim to keep the service running but don't promise uninterrupted availability. We may change or discontinue features; for material changes to these terms we'll update the “Last updated” date and, for breaking changes, email account holders.

Cancellation

You can disconnect a site or close your account whenever you like. Disconnecting a site hard-deletes its scan history (see our Privacy Policy). If a paid plan applies, the specific billing terms are shown at sign-up.
